DENBIGHSHIRE BY JOHN SELLER AND FRANCIS GROSE c1787.
Copper engraved map with descriptive text of the county below and to the verso. A very good clear impression with later hand colour.
The map measures approx 14.5 x 12 cms on a full page with the County description.
John Seller (1630-1697) Appointed Hydrographer to Charles II in 1671 produced his set of County maps for "Anglia Contracta" based on the work of John Speed.
The Plates were later bought by Francis Grose (1731-1791) and were used for his work "The Antiquities of England and Wales" published in 1787 and included a description of each county.
